I got a request to put up the chords for Jason Mraz's "The Woman I Love", so here they are as it stands so far. Things may change once this song is actually released...
Capo 4 (Jason's version, I lowered it a bit)
F C G Am
Maybe I annoy you with my choices
F C E Am
Well, you annoy me sometimes too with your voice
F C
But that ain't enough for me
E Am
To move out and move on
F C G C
I'm just gonna love you like the woman I love
We don't have to hurry
You can take as long as you want
I'm holdin' steady
My heart's at home
With my hand behind you
I will catch you if you fall
Yeah I'm gonna love you like the woman I love
G
Sometimes the world can make you feel
Am
You're not welcome anymore
C
And you beat yourself up
F
You let yourself get mad
G
And in those times when you stop lovin'
Am
That person I adore
F
You could relax
Because, babe, I got your back
Hey
(instr) /F/C/G/Am/
/F/C/E/Am/
/F/C/E/Am/
/F/C/G/C/
No, I don't mean to change you
You've got it under control
You wake up each day different
Another reason for me to keep holdin' on
I'm not attached to any way you're showing up
I'm just gonna love you like the woman I love
F C
Yeah I'm gonna love you
E Am
Oh, Yeah
F C
I'm gonna love you
G C
You're the woman I love

Aquariums
The other day, I decided to visit the aquarium. There was a line, so I sat in the waiting room, and wouldn't you know it, they had a tiny dentist office in there. So serene.

Introducing...
So, I've been using this little character on most of my music and promotional stuff lately, and he's kind of become my little brand now. That being said, I figured I should give him a name, and perhaps a back-story of sorts.
Here's the definition of the word so you don't have to google it and get distracted by cat videos.
ep·och (

1.
a. A particular period of history, especially one considered remarkable or noteworthy.
b. A notable event that marks the beginning of such a period. See Synonyms at period.
2. A unit of geologic time that is a division of a period.
3. Astronomy An instant in time that is arbitrarily selected as a point of reference.
It seemed like a good name for a clock. Plus, it kinda sounds cool and edgy, which is how I drew him. He seems like the kind of clock that if you talked to him, he might blow you off with some insult about your lack of understanding of quantum physics, but then may later strike up a conversation with you about the later years of The Who.
Anywho, (see what I did there) I haven't come up with his whole story, so I thought I might just start writing it here, and see what happens. Perhaps it will be unraveled in several installments, each revealing startling new information that boggles the mind, and titillates the senses.
It could also be one of those things I start, and then forget about halfway through because I get so distracted by cat videos. Damn they're cute!
Well, either way, here we go.
In the beginning, there was nothing.
Then, came Father Time. Father time had to come first, cause if he didn't, no one would know what was going on before, during, or after the story. Kind of like when I read The Scarlett Letter for English class in the 10th grade and I kept falling asleep in the middle of pages and I'd have to re-read the same thing like 8 times before I just skipped to the next chapter hoping it would pick up and I could actually get some meaning out of the book.
Father Time had a lot on his plate in the beginning, what with all the whens to decide on and all of the times to get timed out. He didn't have many chances to get out there and date. I mean, he did some online dating but he never really met anyone he'd consider more than a 6, and that was even rare.
Needless to say, he took what he could get, so when Miss Winter was created out of well, however things are created, he jumped at the chance.
Things were going great for Father Time until one night they'd had a little too much to drink and both parties were quite sure that the other had prepared correctly for their, um, activities of the night. After a long legal battle that ended in Father Time proclaiming loudly at a hearing, "Miss Winter is one cold-hearted bitch!', Epoch was born to the world.
Even though Father Time loved his new son, he often wondered about the Ferrari that might have been. But alas, Epoch was a great helper to Father Time allowing him to take a day off every now and then, and visit the islands where time really can just slow down. I mean really slow. Imagine, I ordered a Margarita and it seriously took like a half an hour. What the hell? Did they just set the order down somewhere and forget about it? I didn't even ask for anything special, it was right off the menu, which may I add, was clearly price marked for tourists.
Epoch grew into a handsome lad, and had many adventures. I think we shall leave it here for today, because I know you're all just moments away from wanting to watch this.

and so, I'll leave you with this quote about time, and a picture of Epoch.
Day, n. A period of twenty-four hours, mostly misspent.
